What is ACT?
ACT is a global charity platform, unifying good-hearted people to help heal the suffering of the world.
Define Action?
Action is the third level of creation, the first being thought and the second being word ( written or spoken).We believe in doing the positive ACT, and thus express the kindness, compassion, generosity, love, care etc which is what we essentially are.
What is the “Universality” of the ACT?
ACT understands that sorrows and miseries have no boundaries.The whole world understands them as they are.Love and Kindness is also beyond all man-made barriers.We care for the whole world. The world that consists of humans, nature and animals. We feel for everything.This sensitivity towards the children of the Mother Earth is our basic nature.This is our freedom. We belong there.
What is Global Familyship?
All those who chose to use ACT as a platform to express their compassion, are part of the ACT family, irrespective of their origin, caste, creed, color or community.Everyone of us care for the other, helps each other in his or her personal crisis, tragedies and helps create a belongingness and unity beyond all definitions and barriers.
What is ACT “Freedom”?
ACT allows freedom of expression for all noble thoughts– such as expression of compassion, in what ever way possible.Each ACT volunteer has the freedom to support any ACT causes. Staying truly universal,beyond all man-made barriers – is the ACT expression of absolute freedom.Being a universal citizen if being truly free.
What is Love and Care according to ACT?
ACTs concept of Love and Care are beyond all man-made barriers. It is truly universal.By expanding our hearts encompass the whole universe, irrespective of Caste, Creed, Country, Community or Cultural barriers,we evolve further. Our life transforms for the better.We will not be alone anymore.When we give lots of love, we receive a lot too, because the world is like a mirror – it reflects back what it takes in.
Why has ACT segmented its activities, such as ACT NOW for Women, ACT NOW for children etc?
Each person has his or her individuality, which ACT understands and respects. None of us are truly alike. Naturally, individual charity concepts are varied too.Every catastrophies does not necessarily touch everyone’s heart and provoke a spontaneous action.Hence, inorder to express themselves on their chosen segment of charity, ACT decided to seggregate its activities into segments, which volunteers can easily identify with. This in now way would build barriers of any kind. There would be mixed, co related and combined activities, within ACT.
What is the “personal evolution” of members, according to ACT?
The personal purification achieved because of repeated, continuous, positive and self-less action. By choosing to take in a larger universe as part of our family, we grow, our attitudes and expressions change. The new feeling of being truly universal, not only in thought and words,but very much in actions too, transforms our character for the better. It’s a metamorphosis from narrowness to universality. Then, fears diminish, confidence grows. This process has various dimensions. A person can evolve as much as he chooses to, through self-less services of ACT.
Who are the current officials of ACT?
Mr.Anand Nair is the President of ACT and Mr.Sankara Narayanan is the Director – Finance and Administration. They are supported by a team of office bearers.
How can I support ACT?
Monetary contributions are voluntary.To support ACT activities in person, all you have to do is join your preferred segment or team. You could support any of the ACT missions and causes by just volunteering to be part of one particular activity or more, depending on your time and energy.
Where is ACT registered?
It is registered in Kerala.
How does ACT control its funds?
ACT finance is centrally controlled and all income and expenses are well-documented. All financial documents are periodically audited.The balance sheets would be available for verifications,after every financial year.
If I do not have money, how else can I support ACT?
Simple. Determine what your strengths are – professionally and personally, and apply that for ACT. If you are good in selling, help sell the ACT products. Architects and builders in you can help Ammucare Villages, Computer professionals can help ACT web site or communication systems. Experts in various fields can use their talents to help some segments of ACT. ACT is a platform for you to express your kindness, fully.
How can I be a part of ACT?
There are no membership fees in ACT and Contributions are voluntary.By enrolling in the mailing list, each would be kept abreasted of the activities or you could contact the local ACT contact person, if there are any in your neighbourhood. Or, just send a mail to the ACT email id and the ACT team would guide you.
How can I become an official of ACT?
By continuously and consistantly performing. By expressing self-lessness and compassion. By innovating and proving leadership skills. By being a true ACT volunteer consistantly. By being self-inspired and sensitive..
Does ACT work with other organisations?
Yes. On case by case basis, after proper scrutinies are done and evaluating the cause and credibility of the associating organisation as well as the theme of action. .
How does ACT raise funds? How can I help?
ACT raises its funds through events, programmes and voluntary monetary assistance. You could help, by helping ACT to organise events and programmes or by organising events and programmes for ACT with the written permission of ACT President. Or, you can help in your own way, by getting sponsorships, banners, selling tickets or which ever way possible – which are appropriate and ethical as well as in line with ACT policies. .

Who founded ACT?
